(16/10/2024) — Since the launch of its new factory in La Garena, Alcalá de Henares in 2021, Mengfu Foods has emerged as a leading brand in the Asian food sector, both in market share and brand recognition. The company has also created over 100 local jobs. On Monday, October 14th, Alcalá de Henares Mayor Judith Piquet and Deputy Mayor Gustavo Severien visited the Mengfu facility in La Garena, where they were welcomed by the company’s chairman and general manager.
Founded in 2001, Mengfu Foods is an Asian food company dedicated to the production and distribution of traditional dishes from various parts of Asia. Thanks to its delicious and high-quality products, Mengfu has gained strong recognition among local Asian restaurants and supermarkets. As market demand has increased, the company has continuously expanded its product range and improved its production capacity through advanced technology.
During the visit, Mayor Piquet praised Mengfu for its “ability to innovate and continuously adapt, its efficient operational model, and strong growth potential.” She emphasized that Mengfu has successfully achieved large-scale production while preserving the integration of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology—a philosophy that, in her words, closely reflects the spirit of Alcalá: forward-looking, yet proud of its heritage.
The mayor also thanked Mengfu’s leadership team for creating significant employment opportunities for local residents. She expressed a long-term vision for collaboration and stated that the city government will support Mengfu’s continued development and production expansion in Alcalá to further promote job creation.
After the visit, Mengfu hosted a tasting session for Mayor Piquet and Deputy Mayor Severien, offering samples of its signature products. The guests expressed high praise following the experience.
